How To: Use Liquid Metal with Alcohol Ink

Instructions

PROJECT TIP: Layer more blending solution to allow the metallic to shine through

INSTRUCTIONS:

1: Shake your metallic inks WELL before using them.

2: Place blending solution, either with dropper or mister, onto clean surface area.

3: Taking your paint brush or dauber, apply Liquid Silver or Gold to the blending solution, using the applicator to spread the pigment around.

4: Apply more blending solution if necessary, and then drop in your alcohol ink.

5: Use your heat gun, straw, or dryer to move the ink and metallic flakes across the surface creating the patterns you want.

6: Repeat on different types of non-porous surfaces for different effects.

7: Set aside to dry. Seal 24 hours later to protect your work.
