Can I paint on my Mix2Mold™?
YES! We would recommend an acrylic-based paint or ceramic paint!
Can I use rub-on transfers with my Mix2Mold™?
YES! They work great!
What is the mixing ratio for Mix2Mold?
We recommend 3 parts powder to 1 part water!
How long does it take for Mix2Mold™ to dry/cure?
It takes 60 minutes for Mix2Mold™ to cure when left out!
What is the working time for Mix2Mold?
Mix2Mold®, on average, has about a 7-10 minute working time
Can I dish-wash/microwave my Mix2Mold™?
We would recommend hand washing and not microwaving similar to that of pottery!
What molds can I use?
You can use any silicone mold!
How do I avoid air bubbles?
Simply tap the sides of the mold once your mixture has been poured to release the air bubbles! We would not recommend using a shake station with the colored powders as the vibration can separate the pigments!
Is Mix2Mold™ Food Contact Safe?
YES! Our White Ceramic Resin has been tested and approved to be food contact safe once cured when following instructions. Any other products can be made food contact safe when using our glossy sealer and following instructions!
Can Mix2Mold™ be sanded at all for shaping purposes?
YES! We recommend sanding the bottom (the part that was the opening of the silicone mold) after curing to ensure a smooth finish. But you can also sand any part you want. If using terrazzo, we recommend sanding immediately after curing to reveal the terrazzo detail.
Is Mix2Mold Waterproof/ How do I protect my creations?
While Mix2Mold is durable, Mix2Mold is not fully waterproof, for products you wish you wish to use outside, we recommend using our Glossy or Matte Sealer. You do not need to seal your creation for everyday use.
Is Mix2Mold Heat Safe?
Mix2Mold can safely endure heat up to 120F. Please DO NOT place your Mix2Mold, in an oven, microwave, or kiln. However, it can tolerate candle sand or tea light candles!
How can I dispose of my Mix2Mold™?
Dispose of excess product in the trash. Wipe tools with warm, soapy water and a paper towel.
Is Mix2Mold™ Non-Toxic?
Yes, it has been tested to be non-toxic.
Do I need to take any safety precautions when using it?
No, however, we do recommend sensitive groups avoid prolonged exposureor use PPE. Also, please do not inhale or ingest the powder.
What do I do if I swallow Mix2Mold™?
If swallowed, immediately seek medical attention.
